(just the second crop from these vines, planted to clone 337): Bright medium red. Aromatically expressive nose offers currant, tobacco leaf, pepper, herbs and a musky smoky nuance. Sweet, lush and very ripe--in fact, a tad roasted in the middle palate. Finishes with serious, slightly rough, chocolatey tannins that dust the teeth.
Super-ripe black cherries, plums, tobacco, flowers and vanilla all flow from the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Three Twins Vineyard. Hints of blackberry jam, cloves and tobacco appear later, adding further complexity. The 2010 has plenty of depth and persistence, but at times, the alcohol is a bit intrusive.
