Good dark red. Very pure aromas of red fruits and mint, plus a suggestion of metallic minerality. Even suppler than the Clos Sorbés, with inviting red fruit flavors complicated by a saline touch. Finishes with fairly easygoing tannins.

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny Village has a little reduction on the nose, but it unfolds with kirsch and fresh strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, quite steely tannin, a nice density in the mouth with a very linear and tightly contolled finish. It will need a year or two once in bottle.
From Les Mombies lieu-dit near RN74. 80- to 90-year-old vines on quite clayey soil. Light crimson. Singing bright fruit. Dry finish after a good mouthful of crisp fruit. Bitter cherries on the finish and real crispness. (JR)

Domaine Fourrier is located in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate has been run by Jean-Marie Fourrier since 1994, and has rapidly become one of the village’s most fashionable names, known for producing pure and transparent Pinot Noir.
