Note di degustazione
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d’Orveau 1er Cru was matured in four barrels, two of them new. My sample came from a new barrel, which explains why the wood influence is quite dominant; of course, that will not be the case in bottle. The palate is ripe and very pretty on the entry, featuring tart red cherries mixed with spicebox and light citrus notes. Everything is bound together by a fine bead of acidity. Vibrant if a little linear on the finish. Very fine.
