Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2016-2031, Robert Parker, Mar 2016

From the coolest vineyard (and the last to be harvested), the 2013 Bondi Home Ranch Pinot Noir is made from Dijon clones 943, 667 and the Calera selection, which is believed to have been sourced from one of the DRC vineyards. The wine exhibits a dense ruby/purple color and a round, juicy nose of black cherries, strawberries, forest floor and underbrush. Deep, rich, tannic, structured, and the most backward of all these 2013 Pinots, it should be drunk over the next 10-15 years.

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2015-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2015

The 2013 Pinot Noir Bondi Home Ranch is all about texture. Seamless and expressive in the glass, the 2013 impresses for its balance and overall sense of harmony. The 80% new oak barrels are totally integrated in this impeccable and highly expressive Pinot. Sweet floral and spice notes add the final layers of complexity. Bondi Home Ranch is the coolest Pinot site Martinelli works with and is distinguished by its very long vegetative cycle.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
