Note di degustazione
The 2013 Taurasi is 100% Aglianico from a single vineyard and spent close to two years in French oak, followed by 14 months in bottle before release. It's a deeper ruby/plum-colored effort that offers a pretty perfume of blackberries, cracked pepper, tar, and spice box. It's a classic Aglianico with its tannins and acidity, and has beautiful, medium to full-bodied richness, a voluptuous texture, terrific balance, and a great finish.

The 2013 Taurasi is a bold and broad-shouldered red wine that is generous both in terms of its primary fruit and the toasted oak notes so generously supplied in a supporting role. The finish is soft and richly textured with no sign of the biting astringency you sometimes get with the Aglianico grape. The expert winemaking team at this important Campania estate has crafted a beautiful and contemporary expression from an important red wine territory.
