The 2001 Pinot Noir Bondi Home Ranch Water Trough Vineyard, from a cold climate, Green Valley vineyard, displays jammy, sweet plum and cherry fruit along with Asian spice notes, medium body, elegant flavors, crisp underlying acidity, and a tangy, long finish. Medium ruby, not particularly bright. Cassis, blackberry, cracked pepper and minerals on the nose, along with a faint meaty nuance. Dense and rich, with very purple flavors of dark, wild fruits and meat. Offers a silky texture and nicely integrated acidity. But still a bit youthfully tough, and firm-edged on the back.
Informazioni sul produttore

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
