The 2014 Chardonnay Edward James Estate is another deep, powerful wine. Here it is the wine's vertical structure and power that stand out. Candied orange peel, spice, mint and a touch of French oak give the wine its exotic feel. Even so, the Edward James remains medium in body. This is a strong showing.

Paul Hobbs is one of California wine’s biggest names. Twice named Wine Personality of the Year by Robert Parker, he joined Robert Mondavi in 1977, worked at Opus One and Simi before setting up his eponymous winery in 1991.
