Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2020-2032, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Feb 2020

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley comes strolling out of the glass with easy-breezy notions of Black Forest cake, blackberry pie, cardamom and damp soil plus hints of pencil shavings and bay leaves. Medium-bodied, the palate gives mouth-coating black fruits with plenty of bright, herbal sparks and a grainy texture, finishing long and savory. 4,330 cases were made.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is a gorgeous, racy wine that captures all the best the vintage has to offer within its peer group. Juicy red and purplish berry fruit, lavender and mint give the 2017 striking freshness and nuance to match its mid-weight personality. This is such a pretty and accessible wine. I would prefer to drink it over the next decade or so.

Lots of primary fruit with crushed blackberries and currants. Full body, soft and round tannins and a fresh finish. Shows potential.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is dark, pliant and super-expressive, with terrific richness for a wine at this level. Succulent red cherry, plum and chocolate are pushed forward. An underpinning of energy gives the 2017 its shape. The 2017 is shaping up to be a real jewel of a wine.
