Punteggio 88/100 · Da bere 2018-2028, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Aug 2018

A blend of multiple parcels that's bottled under nomacorc and constitutes the estate's entry-level cuvée, the 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé Tête de Cru offers up notes of orchard fruit, verbena, pastry cream and struck match. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and elegant, with moderate concentration and a chalky finish. It's a pretty wine, but to my palate, it's well worth paying the comparatively small premium for the Domaine's grander bottlings.

Punteggio 89-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Nov 2017

(a blend of 40 plots on a variety of soils, including a high percentage of sand and sandstone that's atypical for Fuissé; 70% vinified and aged in oak, 25% new, and 30% in tank): Pale yellow with a green tinge. Riper but more subdued than the Saint-Véran, showing more yellow fruits than green, with aromas of peach, orange zest and spices. Tactile, fresh wine with good texture to its peach and citrus flavors, along with a touch of creaminess from élevage on its lees. This fruit was picked at 13% potential alcohol. A very rich, pliant Pouilly-Fuissé, but showing modest nuance and perfume today.
