2012 Il Musmeci Etna Rosso

The 2012 Etna Rosso Riserva Il Musmeci is a pure expression of Nerello Mascalese. Only 7,000 bottles and 100 magnums were produced. The wine is slightly closed at first, but it opens relatively quickly to showcase territory-driven tones of dried black fruit, resin, tar, cigar smoke, black olive and scorched earth. The wine shows a careful and graceful aging evolution. However, the mouthfeel is compact and fresh.
