2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Bright ruby-red. Pure, aromatically complex nose dominated by redcurrant and minerals. Dense, lush and perfumed in the mouth, with crushed redcurrant and mineral flavors complicated by musky tobacco, smoke and hot bricks. Offers lovely balance and vinosity. Finishes with horizontal, fine tannins and excellent length. Promises to be the best vintage yet from this property on Whitehall Lane. (The wines are made by Cathy Corison.)
