Note di degustazione
The 2013 Chardonnay Estate from Vineyard 7 & 8 is an outstanding Chardonnay from Spring Mountain, with a touch of minerality as well as notes of quince, white currant and white peach in a medium to full-bodied, stylish and restrained style. This wine is Burgundian, pure and impressive. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

Butter, apricot jam, orange peel, mint, lightly honeyed notes and roasted almonds all grace Vineyard 7&8's 2013 Chardonnay Estate. Ample and creamy in style, the 2013 is a decidedly rich, intense wine, yet all the elements fall into place effortlessly. This is a big wine with considerable resonance, power and personality.
The 2013 Chardonnay Estate is quite a bit fresher and more nuanced than the 2012. Lemon peel, white flowers, white pepper and ripe, succulent pears jump from the glass in a striking Chardonnay that brings together intensity of fruit and the persistent salinity of this hillside site.
The 2013 Chardonnay Estate is impeccable. Bright and focused, especially for a ten-year-old wine, the 2013 remains wonderfully fresh. Lemon confit, white flowers, mint, white pepper and ripe green pear are some of the notes that grace this exquisite, nuanced Chardonnay. The 2013 was quite a bit more extroverted when it was first released. Since then, it has become much more delicate, far exceeding my initial expectations along the way. Luc Morlet did an exceptional job here.
