Note di degustazione
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is blended of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet colored, it leaps from the glass with evolving scents of Black Forest cake, crème de cassis and stewed plums plus hints of menthol, cigar box, charcuterie, powdered cinnamon and yeast extract. Medium to full-bodied, rich and decadent, it has a plush frame of finely grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering minty note.

Bright dark red. Blueberry and cassis fruit aromas are joined by chocolatey oak and a hint of tar. Sappy and sweet, with spicy dark fruit flavors nicely framed by ripe, harmonious acidity. A step up in density and concentration from the winery's red blend. But still a bit chunky and unrefined for an outstanding rating, finishing with slightly gritty chocolatey tannins.
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a big blast of dark red fruit, smoke, licorice and tar. This isn't a subtle wine, yet there is something about its frankness that is incredibly pleasing. This delicious Cabernet Sauvignon should drink well for the next decade. I loved it. In 2009 the blend is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.
