Note di degustazione
The 1999 Chardonnay McCrea Vineyard (2,000 cases) exhibits an intense liquid minerality, notes of white currants, a full-bodied personality with citrus oils and white flowers, and a remarkably well-delineated finish. Still tightly knit but concentrated and extremely Burgundian, it needs a couple of years of aging, and should last for a decade. (Not yet released) Tel. (707) 823-5603; fax (707) 823-6709

Slightly hazy appearance. Aromas of tropical and dried fruits, marzipan, clove and nutmeg. Spicy and citric in the mouth, with mineral and lemon cream flavors framed by racy acidity. Finishes bright and persistent. In a distinctly Chablis-like style, and a bit skinny for a Kistler chardonnay.
Informazioni sul produttore

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
