The 1999 Pinot Noir Cuvee Catherine, a selection of the best barrels from the Kistler Vineyard, displays a bouquet of roasted meats, earth, truffle, blackberry, raspberry, and smoky cherry fruit. Full body, an unctuous texture, and terrific acidity define this large-scaled effort. A monumental Pinot Noir that has to be tasted to be believed, it should hit its prime in about three or four years and last for 12-15, if not longer. (Not yet released) Tel.
