The 2015 Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes En Croisette is a total knock-out. Deep, fleshy and powerful, the 2015 exudes richness. The interplay of intense fruit and sweeping aromatics is compelling. The 100% whole clusters are not especially evident. Galeyrand plans to give the En Croisette a full 24 months in oak. Sadly, there are only three barrels. Don't miss it.

The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes En Croisette has quite a showy bouquet with menthol and licorice aromas that rather detract from terroir definition. This needs to show more Pinot Noir character. The palate is sweet and chewy, quite warm with some alcohol smudging the finish. Maybe just not showing quite correctly on the day, I will seek to re-taste this in the future.
The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Croisettes contains 100% whole bunch. It has an attractive if slightly rustic bouquet with liquorice-tinged red fruit, quite forward with admirable intensity for a Village Cru. The palate is medium-bodied with black pepper that emanates from the stems and fine grip, turning spicy towards the finish, though it just lacks a bit of finesse and complexity. It will still give a few years of drinking pleasure.
