Note di degustazione
The 2006 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard is crimson-colored with an alluring nose of wood smoke, mineral, plum, and black cherry. This leads to a dense, structured wine with plump succulent fruit, a smooth-texture, and a lengthy finish. Drink it from 2010 to 2018. Continuity is the custom at Cristom Vineyards where the founder Paul Gerrie remains at the helm and the original winemaker, Steve Doerner still fashions world-class Pinot Noirs. Tel. Light, bright red. Deeper and darker than the Eileen, offering black raspberry, cherry pit and dried rose aromas; spiciness builds with air and carries onto the palate. Fresh blackberry and bitter cherry flavors are enlivened by zesty minerality. Finishes silky and impressively long, with no obvious tannins, a repeating spicy quality, and lingering notes of cherry skin and anise.
