Planted in 1935 on a protected southeast-facing slope at 27-296 m, south of Brochon. Mainly limestone and marl. 50% new barrels. Lots of orange at the (pale) rim. Real exciting pungency on the nose. Clearly quite evolved but absolutely gorgeous for current drinking. Rich and lively. Great balance and energy. This delivers, even if not for the very long term. Big impact on the finish. (JR)
