1995 Upper Barn Chardonnay

The 1995 Chardonnay Gauer Ranch Upper Barn is riveting. Perhaps even more flamboyant than the 1995 Hudson Valley (to the point of decadence), this full-bodied Chardonnay immensely satisfies both the intellectual and hedonistic senses. Reminiscent of a rich, buttery, honeyed Batard-Montrachet from Michel Niellon (but purer and more complete), this is an explosively intense, complex, multi-dimensional wine that is utterly amazing.
