The 2009 Pinot Noir Lindsay Estate is extraordinary. Freshly cut flowers, roses, spices, mint and black cherries are some of the many nuances that flow from this layered, textured Pinot. The 2009 Lindsay possesses marvelous depth and richness from start to finish. Finesse and power; this dazzling Pinot has it all.

The 2009 Lindsay possesses marvelous depth and richness from start to finish. Finesse and power – this dazzling Pinot has it all. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2024. This is a dazzling set of Chardonnays and Pinots from Paul Hobbs. The wines are made with native primary and secondary fermentations, aged on their lees and bottled without fining of filtration. Readers may want to check out my video interview with Paul Hobbs on www.eroberparker.com for more details. Vintages 2009 and 2010 are both strong, but I find myself favoring the 2010s for their greater verve and focus. Either way, it is virtually impossible to go wrong with any of these new and upcoming releases. Tel. (707) 824-9879

Vivid ruby. Exotically perfumed bouquet of black raspberry, cherry-cola, star anise and fresh rose, with a suave vanilla quality and a hint of cracked pepper. Sappy, pliant and broad, with serious depth to its sweet red and dark berry flavors. Picks up mocha and floral notes on the back half. Really stains the palate, finishing sweet and very long. This is awfully delicious right now.
