The straightforward 2000 Merlot reveals a black cherry-scented bouquet with hints of coffee and cocoa. Medium-bodied, forward, and slightly tannic, it is best consumed over the next 5-6 years. Tel. (707) 963-7108
Good medium ruby. Black fruits, violet, smoked meat, dark chocolate and a hint of bell pepper on the nose. Firm-edged, fairly dense flavors of black plum, baking chocolate and fresh herbs offer a nicely restrained sweetness. Finishes with firm tannins and good shape.
