Note di degustazione
The 2015 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard opens with alluring lemon curd, green guava and ripe apricot notes with suggestions of allspice, coriander seed, almond croissant and orange blossom. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a seductive oiliness to the texture with loads of rich tropical fruit layers generously accented with baking spice notions, finishing very long.

Breadth, power and richness are the signatures in the 2015 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard. The 2015 has really come together nicely over the last year. Creamy and generous, with terrific resonance, the Durell will appeal most to readers who like larger Chardonnays. Naturally forming small clusters and small berries in these diseased vines give the Durell much of its distinctive personality.
The 2015 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard is one of the more phenolic, deep wines in the range. The personality of the Wente clone comes through loud and clear. Dried pear, mint, wild flowers and chamomile, along with the naturally low yields of this site afflicted with leaf roll virus, result in an oily, waxy Chardonnay built on texture, class and polish.
Informazioni sul produttore

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
