2018 Cuvee Keltie Syrah

The 2018 Syrah Cuvée Keltie is a powerful, dense wine. A rush of dark red/purplish fruit, menthol, sage, tobacco, incense, rose petal, iron and blood races across the palate. Dense and quite savory, the 2018 needs a year or two in bottle to help the tannins soften a touch. It is another impressive wine in this range from Donelan. Grapes are sourced from Kobler, Steiner, Cardiac Hill, Judge and a property in Knights Valley adjacent to Obsidian, which was replanted following the fires of 2017. The Keltie was done with 80-85% whole clusters, the most in this range.
