Note di degustazione
Tasting like a Grand Cru Montrachet (seriously, it's that good), the 2015 Chardonnay Genevieve's Block (169 cases) was fermented and aged all in barrel. It offers a deep, rich bouquet of buttered stone fruits, toasted almonds, brioche and hints of caramelized citrus to go with a racy, concentrated, pure profile on the palate. I wish there was more of it to go around, but it's truly a sensational wine. Give bottle another year or so and enjoy over the following two decades.

The 2014 Chardonnay Genevieve's Block opens with captivating aromatic nuance and a hint of reduction. Pear, slate, mint and white pepper add to the wine's bright, lifted profile. Apricot pit, orange peel, vanillin and smoke develop later as the wine continues to flesh out in the glass. The Genevieve is precise and super-expressive, with notable freshness and tons of personality.
The 2015 Chardonnay Genevieve’s Block offers a gorgeous nose of warm apricots, spiced apple and struck match with hints of croissant and beeswax. The medium-bodied palate has incredible intensity with loads of citrus fruit and mineral accents emerging with a silken texture and a wicked backbone of crisp of acidity, finishing very long and very minerally. 169 cases were made. It needs another 2-3 years in bottle to really strut its stuff, but you’ll be able to enjoy this baby over 10-12 years+ thereafter.
