The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru, represented by three barrels this year, has a generous and quite "showy" bouquet that is perhaps dictated by the growing season more than Grivot's other crus. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a fine bead of acidity, fresh if just missing a little substance toward the saline finish. This is a stylish Vosne-Roman�e, albeit one that I think will offer more in its youth vis-a-vis other crus.
