2018 Cotes de Nuits Leury Vigne de 1937

The debut 2018 Côte de Nuits Les Leury was touched by hail, ergo Thibault Liger-Belair did not include any whole bunch in the blend. This has a well-defined and quite tertiary nose of brambly red fruit mixed with field mushrooms and wet limestone. The medium-bodied palate offers crunchy red fruit. This feels quite compact and does not quite flow toward the end, maybe because of the hail damage.
