Punteggio 99/100 · Da bere 2026, Jeb Dunnuck, Jul 2022

Clone 8 Cabernet Sauvignon from Red Mountain, brought up in new barrels (as are all of the wines aside from the CVR), the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine is dense purple hue with a gorgeous cassis and blue fruits as well as dried spice, flowers, camphor, and graphite-driven aromas and flavors. This deep, rich, concentrated, flawlessly balanced beauty has ultra-fine tannins, a seamless, elegant mouthfeel, and a great, great finish. It's more straight and focused than the Columbia Valley release and will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age, but it's gorgeous.

Punteggio 98/100 · Da bere 2022-2043, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Mar 2022

The Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Vineyard bottling has been renamed and is now labeled as Clone 8; this is part of the estate's new range of clonal bottlings, which honors the family's namesake and heritage. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Galitzine Clone 8 displays precision and focus with Red Mountain's firm, rocky minerality before showcasing layers of velvety, dark red fruit that wafts from the glass. Full-bodied and firmly structured, elements of sweet red berries and seductive vanilla flavors offer up layers of complexity with gripping tannins. The Clone 8 concludes with elegance and persistence on the delightful, velvety finish, leaving behind a lovely, red-fruited finesse that continues to shine. Only 1,338 cases were produced and are set to be released later this year.
