Alpha Omega's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is very pretty. Dark, layered and beautifully balanced, the 2011 possesses wonderful depth and also plenty of early approachability. Smoke, plum, black cherry and tobacco notes linger on the expressive, generous finish. This is a gorgeous wine in its peer group.
The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits smoky, chocolaty, black currant fruit notes as well as more depth and spice than the Proprietary Red, medium body, and none of the herbaceous character found in the Proprietary Red. This evolved 2011 is best consumed over the next 5-7 years. Alpha Omega, which has been in existence for nearly a decade, is located in a handsome building on Highway 29. The wines are made by John Hoefliter teamed with the famous globe-trotting Bordeaux oenologist, Michel Rolland. I have noticed incremental improvement in these cuvees, and the 2011s generally performed well. Tel. (707) 963-9999
