Twelve parcels fermented with 30% whole bunches. Attractive spicy aromas on the nose here. A wealth of spices, sous bois and darker cherries. Good ripeness. The palate has a very smooth and open weave of tannins. Really juicy and approachable. Drink or hold.

The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Village, which underwent a slightly shorter extraction than normal, included 30% whole bunch fruit. It has more fruit expression compared to the Savigny-lès-Beaune Village: dark plum, blackcurrant and just a light brush of honey. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, nicely judged acidity, a little terseness towards the finish, but I feel this will improve once the final racking has been completed.
(mostly from the north side of the village; Bouchard buys fruit and wine): Bright, moderately saturated medium red. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry and menthol are lifted by a violet topnote. A round, fruity style of Nuits-Saint-Georges with fresh berry flavors enlivened by flowers and spices. Finishes with substantial dusty but edge-free tannins. An outperformer for this wine chez Bouchard, providing yet more evidence that 2015 was able to produce strong, ripe wines at every level of the vineyard hierarchy.
