The 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a very well-defined bouquet with mineral-rich red fruit, pressed rose petals and peony, gradually unfurling with each swirl until you are under its spell. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a fine line of acidity, quite saline even though I can feel it just closing down for winter. This has huge potential, a marvelous Clos Saint-Denis, to wit, an achievement given the curveballs of the season.
