NV Pascal Henin Blanc Comme Neige Extra Brut

Lacking both character and depth, with a rather tart mid-palate, Henin’s NV Blanc de Blancs Blanc comme Neige—disgorged in October 2020 with a dosage of three grams per liter—is difficult to recommend. This appears to be a case where wines crafted by the previous generation, relying on conventional methods, have merely been repackaged under a contemporary label, aiming to trade on consumer trust without delivering any substantive evolution in quality. While inoffensive, delivering an ephemeral bouquet of yellow apples and honeycomb, it amounts to little more than a forgettable drinking. Chouilly ought to taste better than this.
