Note di degustazione
The 2021 Marsannay Boivin, which comes from 70-year-old vines, has a really attractive nose deserving a hearty round of applause after the difficult growing season: exuberant red fruit mixed with sous-bois and a hint of morels. The palate is well-balanced with crisp black plummy fruit, orange zest, marmalade, and a scattering of brown spices towards the finish. This also has the substance to age well in bottle; at minimum, I would afford this three or four years in bottle.

The 2021 Marsannay Boivin is richer, revealing aromas of cherries, dark berries, licorice and vine smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate with a mouthwatering core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins.
The 2021 Marsannay Boivin has a pure and sensual bouquet with vivid red berry fruit mixed with sous-bois and rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with fine acidity, good substance and definitely one of Roty's more elegant wines this vintage.
