Textured, vivid and chocolaty, with aromas of berries, earth and raw cocoa, following through to a medium body with fine, firm tannins. Chalky, with more chocolate influence in the vivid and precise finish. Drink or hold.

Medium intensity spiced plum, blueberry fruits, light tannic grip, this is an enjoyable and well balanced Haut-Médoc, easy to approach, no need to wait, but with a measured hand and good balance. A buy.
The 2022 Haut-Médoc de Branaire-Ducru is gorgeous. Bright and punchy in the glass, with terrific aromatic presence and fine energy, the Haut-Médoc de Branaire-Ducru is a very classy wine. I especially admire its linear tension, which is hard to come by in Merlot-based wines in 2022. Spice, leather, licorice, dried herb and blue-toned fruits build nicely in the glass.
