Note di degustazione
The 2013 Morey-Saint-Denis Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru has a striking menthol-tinged bouquet, not complex but with a strong marine element, later hickory and clove. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly rustic tannins. It's sappy with a slightly ferrous finish. The 2013 coheres nicely in the glass, gradually developing more freshness. Very fine.

Deep ruby-red. A medicinal Cheracol note lifts aromas of tart red berries, spices and menthol. Silky, quite rich and alive; delivers an exhilarating sugar/acid balance to the flavors of cranberry, crushed rock and menthol. Perhaps not as sweet in the early going as the Chaffots but not as tight either. Finishes long and brisk, with lingering dark berry fruit.
