2021 Pommard Les Charmots

Already bottled – a few months earlier than usual. The reds were 60–70% down on average. Seductive, like the Beaune Épenotes, but also a touch spicier, riper and deeper-fruited. More firmly structured and the tannins are beautifully dry and refined, so the fruit is more tongue-tied on the palate, but all there. (JH)
