Palish medium red. Rather rustic nose shows as much leather and underbrush as primary red berry fruit and spices. Offers decent texture and sweetness but also a distinctly exotic cast to its spice and orange zest flavors. Finishes with dusty tannins and decent length. I prefer the Chambolles Veroilles for its greater precision.

Rich, broad and floral. Not savoury and a little astringent but good stuff. (JR)
Medium red. Rather muted aromas of red berries, musky underbrush and stone. Shows more stuffing than the village Chambolle, with a touch of chocolate, but in a soft style as well. Finishes with a light dusting of tannins.
The 2014 Morey St Denis en la Rue de Vergy Blanc was tight-lipped on the nose when I tasted it directly from tank. The palate is more expressive with orange zest and dried pineapple, nicely balanced with an almost Meursault-like finish. You find yourself warming to its charms.
