The 2007 Nero d'Avola is a delicious, full-throttle wine imbued with jammy dark fruit, minerals, mint, spices, tar and chocolate. Deep, dense and richly-textured, it offers superb balance at this level. Some of the wilder notes that are typical of this variety lurk in the background. Still, this is a pure pleasure to taste.
