Tasted blind. Mid gold. Riper fruit aroma than on the Tour Blanche, apricot and honeyed lemon, bitter orange. Deep, thick, rich and very sweet and just balanced with a nice almondy aftertaste. (JH)

The 2014 Rayne-Vigneau has a complex bouquet with scents of dried honey, quince, candlewax and desiccated orange peel. This really whisks you down to Sauternes. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, harmonious and focused with an intense, stem ginger and lemongrass tinged finish that lingers in the mouth, whilst maintaining the freshness and tension to urge you back for another sip. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
Tasted blind. Deep gold. Rich, layered and embryonic. Still quite chewy. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

The 1855 classification placed Ch. de Rayne Vigneau just behind Ch. d’Yquem – also a nearby neighbour. Its 84-hectare vineyard sits in a single block on gravel mounds, overlooking the Ciron in Sauternes, and producing impressive sweet wines.
