(no new oak): Bright medium red. Musky aromas of very ripe red fruits and underbrush come across as less vibrant than those of the 2013. Then fresher in the mouth, with sweet red berry and spice flavors framed and lifted by sound acidity. Finishes with firm tannins and good medicinal reserve. Ultimately a rather silky, harmonious style.

Bright, dark red. Red berries, menthol, herbs and a stony nuance on the slightly medicinal nose. Silky-sweet and attractive, with the medicinal quality carrying through on the palate. Not hugely deep or complex but a nicely balanced and energetic wine with pliant tannins and good length. The crop level here was just 18 hectoliters per hectare, according to Forey.
Dark black cherries, graphite, menthol, sage and rosemary notes abound in the 2012 Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Perriéres. A big, broad-shouldered wine, the Perriéres impresses for its density, power and balance. The huge, expansive finish is super-attractive. This is another flashy, head-turner from Regis Forey.
