2013 Canon Pecresse

The 2013 Canon Pécresse shows lovely juiciness and intensity. Dark red cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco and licorice notes burst from the glass in an exuberant wine to drink upon release, while the fruit retains its resonance. The firm, saline-infused tannins are very nicely integrated, giving the wine its sense of energy and length. This is a classy showing from Canon Pécresse and winemaker Stéphane Derenoncourt.
