Note di degustazione
Revealing an oakier, toastier bouquet than during the en primeur session, the 2022 Moulin-Rouge possesses a medium to full-bodied, dense and layered palate with an assertive tannic frame and a somewhat austere, firm finish.

The 2022 Château du Moulin Rouge has improved on the nose, gaining cohesion, a little more fruit and neatly integrated oak. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. There is still a vegetal note toward the finish that nags away, so it finishes not as I would have liked. I just think some stressed vines got into the mix here.
Cru bourgeois supérieur. 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc, on gravel ridges. Yield 35 hl/ha. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Lifted and lively. Not concentrated but very well balanced. A wine that would be perfect for claret lovers (to be contrasted with the Lestage Simon, for example). (JR)
Brother and sister Jauffrey and Lucie Ribeiro are the 13th generation at now this reliable Cru Bourgeois, right in the middle of Cussac Fort Médoc on the Route des Châteaux next to St Julien. Attractive plum colour, smooth texture, well integrated tannins, juicy blueberry and raspberry fruit, a good option for medium term drinking. 33% new oak for ageing.
