Cask sample. Mid ruby. Lofty, intense nose of cherry and cassis, with pepper, incense, spice and an exotic balsamic note. Very complex, extremely rich and concentrated. The fine acidity and the seamless tannins are just buried in the immense depth of the fruit. Balance, length, intensity, concentration and complexity, this has it all. A humdinger. It is a pity there is so little of it. (MH)

The 2023 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru comprises around 240 bottles this year. It has a very pure bouquet, very delineated and harmonious with raspberry and wild strawberry scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry, sorbet-fresh with candied orange peel infusing the red berry fruit toward the refined and persistent finish. Super delicious…but as always, super rare.
