2023 Bourgogne Aligote Dore Selection Massale

The 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté Doré had just been racked onto the lees in tank at the time of this tasting. Fermented in 500- and 600-liter barrels, it has a fragrant bouquet that frankly is a paragon of what Aligoté should be: very pure, light resinous scents, beautifully focused with hints of honeysuckle and peach skin. The palate has exquisite balance and a disarmingly waxy texture, lightly spiced with a precise finish. Superb.
