2023 Morey St Denis Les Genavrieres

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Genavrières 1er Cru has an intriguing bouquet. It's not as cohesive as the Faconnières, perhaps there's more VA in the background. The palate is sweet on the entry and quite candied in style. It's fleshy with an open-knit finish, but this is one cuvée where I might have picked it earlier (although Virgile said that this cuvée tends toward this style every year).
