2023 Côte de Nuits Villages Les Retraits

The 2023 Côte de Nuits-Village Les Retraits Vieilles Vignes (you will just see "Les Retraits" on the label) comes from vines touching the Clos de la Maréchale to the south. This has quite a loose-knit bouquet with red berry fruit that veers a little toward a fine Grenache in style. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins, a crisp line of acidity and a dab of dark chocolate and allspice toward the lingering finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth.
