2023 Charmes Chambertin

The 2023 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru includes two-third whole bunch. This works much better than the Clos de la Roche with perfumed black cherry and blueberry fruit and hints of iris flower coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, fine tannins, smooth texture and gentle grip toward the finish. This is a very competent Charmes-Chambertin that should age well in bottle.
