Cask sample. Mid cherry red. Sweet cherry pie, full of fruit with a touch of vanilla. Rich, bold, big in fruit with the tannins to match. A light note of dried fruits pulls it back from a higher score but it still has plenty of freshness. Perhaps the sample is not showing the wine at its best? (JH)
