The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes 1er Cru is more taciturn on the nose and offers a little more in the way of black fruit that commingles with the red. It has fine precision and focus, with touches of truffle and chalk that emerge with time. The palate is where the action is. It has wonderful symmetry and tension from start to finish, where the terroir and mineralité come through strongly. This is excellent.
