The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Petit Monts 1er Cru is quite bold on the nose with black cherries mixed with light licorice scents. Perhaps this cuvée was picked slightly late. The palate is medium-bodied with a mixture of black and blue fruit notes. It has a fine structure that's quite dense and grippy, though I suspect that the 2022 has a little more finesse and precision on the finish. Give this two or three years in bottle.
