The 2023 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Chaignots offers up aromas of cherries and dark berries mingled with orange zest and spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's sweet and creamy, with a round, open-knit profile that should make for demonstrative drinking young.

The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru, matured in 40% new oak, offers darker fruit than the other cuvées from the appellation. It is more marine-influenced with light chalky scents. The silky-smooth palate is medium-bodied with moderate depth, more easy-drinking and open than the 2022 with a touch of white pepper on the finish. Charming (as usual).
